Kürzlich hat der Zoo Karlsruhe nach umfangreichem Gesundheits-Check (u. a. Polyomavirus, Bornavirus, Herpesvirus, Chlamydien und Circovirus) ein Paar meiner Pfrimers Weißohrsittiche (Pyrrhura pfrimeri) erworben. Diese vom Aussterben bedrohten Sittiche züchte ich seit 2011 mit großem Erfolg. Wegen Verkleinerung meiner Sittichzucht habe ich momentan noch mehrere Sittiche von 2020 - 2024 abzugeben, (Paar für 800 Euro, einzelnes Männchen 250 Euro) sowie ein Paar von 2021 für nur 500 Euro. Das Weibchen bei diesem 2021er Paar ist in einwandfreiem Zustand, das Männchen am Oberkopf, Nacken und Brust leider gerupft. Beim Kauf des Weibchens für 500 Euro gibt’s dieses Männchen gratis dazu. Es kann auch noch ein 2011er Zuchtmännchen gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 50 Euro erworben werden.
Ab Februar 2026 sind dann auch mehrere Jungtiere von 2025 von verschiedenen Zuchtpaaren abzugeben. Alle Sittiche eigene Nachzucht, geschlossen beringt, mit DNA und Herkunftsnachweis. Übrigens, in der aktuellen französischen Vogelzeitschrift „Oiseaux exotiques“ wird der Preis für ein Paar P. pfrimeri gerade mit 1.200 Euro beziffert (450 Euro für’s Männchen und 750 Euro für ein Weibchen).
Bestellte Vögel könnten eventuell am Samstag, 22.11. (AZ-Bundesschau) abends am Bahnhof Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe persönlich übergeben werden. Ansonsten an einem anderen Termin bei Anzahlung und kleiner Unkostenpauschale an einen ICE-Bahnhof im Umkreis von ca. 300 km um Heidelberg gebracht werden , z. B. Köln, Düsseldorf, Kassel, Gießen, Ulm, Freiburg, Saarbrücken. Eventuell sind auch weiter entfernt gelegene Orte möglich. Da wiederholt sogar bei schriftlicher Zusage bestellte Vögel nicht abgenommen wurden, können Vögel nun nur noch nach Anzahlung reserviert werden.

Following extensive health checks (including for polyomavirus, bornavirus, herpesvirus, chlamydia and circovirus), Karlsruhe Zoo recently acquired a pair of my Pfrimer's Conures (Pyrrhura pfrimeri). I have been breeding these endangered parakeets with great success since 2011. Due to the downsizing of my parakeet breeding programme, I currently have several parakeets from 2020 to 2024 available for sale (pairs for 800 euros, individual males for 250 euros) as well as a pair from 2021 for only 500 euros. The female in this 2021 pair is in perfect condition, but the male has unfortunately been plucked on the top of his head, neck and chest. If you purchase the female for 500 euros, you will receive this male for free. A 2011 breeding male can also be purchased for a nominal fee of 50 euros.
From February 2026, several young birds from 2025 from various breeding pairs will also be available. All parakeets are from my own breeding programme, ringed, with DNA and proof of origin. Incidentally, the current French bird magazine ‘Oiseaux exotiques’ estimates the price for a pair of P. pfrimeri at 1,200 euros (450 euros for a male and 750 euros for a female).
Ordered birds could possibly be handed over in person on Saturday, 22 November (AZ-Bundesschau) in the evening at Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe railway station. Otherwise, they can be delivered on another date to an ICE station within a radius of approx. 300 km around Heidelberg, e.g. Cologne, Düsseldorf, Kassel, Giessen, Ulm, Freiburg, Saarbrücken, subject to a deposit and a small flat-rate fee. More distant locations may also be possible. As birds ordered have repeatedly not been collected even with written confirmation, birds can now only be reserved upon payment of a deposit.
